Millions of viewers tuned in to CENTRIC and BET on Sunday, November 27th to watch the premiere of the SOUL TRAIN AWARDS 2011. According to The Nielsen Company, the 2011 SOUL TRAIN AWARDS premiere telecast drew in 4 million total viewers among, 2.5 million households on both CENTRIC and BET making it the #1 telecast in CENTRIC history among households, viewers (adults 25-54 and adult Women).
The audience was treated to blazing performances throughout the night from celebrated singers Freddie Jackson, Cee Lo Green, Common, Chrisette Michelle, Mary Mary, Marsha Ambrosius, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Tamar Braxton, Original 7ven (The Group Formerly Known As The Time), Robin Thicke, Melanie Fiona, Bebe Winans, Joe, Lalah Hathaway and Kenny Latimore. Hosted by the original king of comedy, Cedric “The Entertainer,” the 2011 SOUL TRAIN AWARDS Premiered on both CENTRIC and BET.
